BAN KONTHIP

It’s the name of a workroom of tailoring and sewing.
A very original and meaningful name:
Ban means “house"
Kon means "hand", in the poetic language
Thip means "special", "inspiring"

It’s the project that completes the cycle of formation
and preparation of young guests of the Centre.
In the leisure time, students and girls practise embroidery
made by hands. The job of embroidery is also practiced by
families of neighbourhood.
The Workshop is directed by Miss Suwarporn Yindeengarm
(Kru Noy) that she has chosen the vocation to help Akha people.
After the education and training course, girls can find
an employment as tailors or decide to stay at the Centre
as collaborators.

"If these children receive education,
if these youths don't go to increase the brothels
of the city and can earn their living in decent manner, it is for
the help and understanding of unknown friends appreciating
the initiative and collaborating with their contribution"
